Counselling
Online
Life can be busy and sometimes being able to prioritise time for ourselves to seek support can be difficult. Attending counselling sessions online can be an alternative way to be able to access face to face support from the comfort of your own home. We can arrange a regular date and time for our sessions which you can access via a video link I will email to you prior to the session.
Each session will last 50 minutes.
Face to Face
I provide face to face sessions in a safe and comfortable location just 10 minutes outside of Oswestry and Welshpool and 25 minutes from Shrewsbury and Newtown.

Two private rooms available for adult and young person counselling sessions.

Additional space for parents to wait inside whilst young people are attending a session.

Each session will last 50 minutes. Free parking.
Walk and Talk
Sometimes being able to get outside of the counselling room can be a beneficial way to feel more relaxed to discuss what is troubling you.
We all know the benefits of being outside so why not try a session together walking and talking around a local heritage site with opportunity to sit and reflect along the way.

Questions
How do I arrange a session?

Click on the 'Get in touch' tab at the top of this page and email me to arrange an initial conversation to discuss your needs. I will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours.

How often do I have a sessions and how long are they?

Initially sessions are booked for once a week or once a fortnight. Sessions will last for 50 minutes. The sessions are open ended and therefore you can have as many or as few as you feel you need. It is common to review how many you feel you need after 4-6 sessions.

What happens in the first session?

You will be provided with the address if you are having face to face sessions, or sent out a link via email if online. In the session you will be offered time to be able to talk about the support you feel you would like help with and we will complete some forms together to contract for our sessions.

What are the facilities like?

I have two rooms available to be able to work with both adults and young people. There is an additional area for people to wait for those having sessions, for instance parents bringing young people. Refreshments are available and there is access to a toilet. The facilities are all on one level and has free parking.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payment is requested to be sent prior to or on the day of the counselling session. Reduced fees apply to concessions (over 65, students & individuals receiving universal credit). Please ask if you are unsure if you could receive a reduced fee. Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash in the session.

Cancellations - What if I can not make it?

Whilst sometimes cancellations may happen I would ask that where possible 24 hours notice is given. If you cancel within 24hours of the session and more than once the full session fee will be requested. If you are unable to make a face to face appointment, an online session may be offered as an alternative.

Information for parents

If you are looking for counselling for your child who is under the age of 18, you will be required to attend the session with the young person. However, to adhere to confidentiality you will be asked to remain in the waiting area for sessions to be carried out solely with the young person, having gained their consent.
I also offer sessions to parents to provide guidance on how they can continue to help support their child at home. Please enquire if this is something you are interested in.
